Happy 2011, my dears! So it’s Thursday which means a new edition of Things I Love Thursday…and it’s the first TILT of 2011! One down, 51 to go! I must admit that this first week has kicked my ass…and HOW! It has been a complete roller coaster ride and it’s only 6 days into the year. So this TILT couldn’t come at a better time…I need to focus on something positive right now. With that in mind, I now give you:
Things I Love Thursday:
the new year edition
* Mini Coopers…and it looks like my honey and I will be getting one. My beloved car, Candy, has fallen victim to the law of diminishing returns. She is costing more to maintain than she is worth. Although I love her dearly (boy have we had some crazy times together!) and will miss her tremendously, it’s time we part ways. I’m seriously gutted over this, but life moves forward and nothing lasts forever. *sigh* Kisses to you, Candy. You have been an awesome car. * Returning to grapefruit juice. I used to be a total junkie for the stuff but stopped drinking it for several years. Now I’m hooked again. Yummy in my tummy. * My new Sam Edleman Zoe boots. Santa brought them for Christmas (thank you, honey) and they were exactly what I wanted. I must have been a very good girl. * The look on my husband’s face when he opened his xmas present…two tickets to Lady Gaga. He’s crazy excited (as am I). It’s going to be a butt-shakin’ good time! * Finally getting back to the gym after months of colds, injuries, hectic hoidays, and the like. I felt so invigorated last night! * My new HTC Surround phone. It makes checking my emails and staying connected a breeze while I’m at my “real” job, which doesn’t allow us to check our personal email. I don’t know how I ever lived without one. I adore the windows platform too. It’s a much more cohesive experience than the Iphone. We needed to buy flowers the other day and were unfamiliar with the area. I press a button, say “Find flowers” and Voila! It pulled up a list of florists within a 10 mile radius. I touched one and it pulled up directions automatically. It is completely rocking my socks. And the sound quality really is fantastic…much better than my Ipod. * The opportunity to start anew. * The adventure of trying new things. * The insanely delicious new Indian restaurant that opened two blocks from our house. Curry makes my tummy smile.* My family…without them I would go absolutely insane. I love you all to bits.
What has rocked your socks this first week of 2011?
