WTF Friday: The Dangers of Boredom

I get bored rather easily.  Don’t get me wrong, I can become engrossed in things and before I know it the entire day has slipped away, but if not properly stimulated I become very, very bored.  Boredom is a dangerous thing for me.  It results in me doing often embarrassing and ridiculous things.  Some examples?  I have been known, in the past, to get dressed up in old prom dresses and parade around the neighborhood when bored.  A severe bout of ennui about 14 years ago once prompted a “None shall pass” rule for my house. No one could come in until they had wrestled me. (What’s really odd is that my friends were totally on board.  There was actually wrestling in my front yard on an almost daily basis that week.)  This rule lasted for almost a week.  See?  Me + boredom = ridiculousness and embarrassment.

This was the case a few weeks ago when I, bored out of my skull, began an ugly face competition (peppered with digs, of course) via email with an acquaintance of mine.  I am such a classy lady.  I keep telling you I’m possessed by the spirit of a 14 year old boy.  Maybe now you’ll believe me.  What follows is truly horrific.  Those of a sensitive nature should turn back now.  Wait until you get close to the end.  There’s a real humdinger down there.  Whoa.  This is my half of my…

Ugly Face Competition
