Escaping From The Noise

Noise

YOU WILL NEVER READ the original version of this post about noise; the one where I spill my heart and soul out explaining the meaning behind this week’s image, explaining the emotions and story, explaining the past 4 months of my life and how it all relates to this one photograph; the one where I tell you everything…everything that fills me and overflows into the picture…everything.

But you will never read that post.

THE ORIGINAL POST will never see the light of day…you will never read it or know why I created this photo (or any of my photos for that matter) because that will automatically destroy any chance of it speaking to you in its own unique way.

AND WHILE I CREATE FOR MYSELF, for my heart, for my head, for my soul, I also create for you in the hopes that you’ll find a piece of yourself hidden inside each image; that you’ll feel something, anything; that you’ll see your beauty in it, your anger in it, your peace, your heartbreak, your joy, your frustration; that it will speak to you and say something that no one else can hear; that you might, just maybe, find the piece of my heart that I’ve left there for all eternity (or until the zombie apocalypse – whichever comes first) and for that instant we connect and become one in that space regardless of where or when we are.

For then we are no longer alone.  We are one, even if only for the most fleeting of moments.  We are united.

SO WITH THAT IN MIND I now present Project 52’s week five photograph.  Make of it what you will; take from it what you choose, even if that be nothing at all.

SORRY TO GET ALL SERIOUS on your ass, but I know some of you wondered why I never share the origin story of my work, their genesis. *insert joke about Phil Collins here*  I just wanted you to know that it’s not to be enigmatic.  There’s no JD Salinger-esque reclusive mystery or intrigue here.

YES, my work is sometimes intensely personal involving details of my private life that I feel inappropriate to share with the world at large (as a blogger & artist it’s important to me to keep some pieces of my life for myself and my loved ones…to keep them special, to treasure them…and there’s an upcoming article on that very topic coming in late spring).  But now you know the primary reason I choose not to share:  so you can experience each creation without my input or emotional bias.

Hopefully you understand and I make at least a little sense (which would be a first).
