IT’S no secret that the fashion industry is biased in a big way.  If you walk through any “Women’s Department” (that’s the industry term for the curvy gals’ section *eye roll*) and you’ll be met with a LOT of unattractive, frumpy clothes in hideous prints made from cheap fabrics and unflattering cuts (What’s with all the ruffled bust lines and the large floral prints that look like they’re from left over bolts of fabric from the 1970’s? And I don’t mean the cute stuff.  I mean the stuff that reminds you of Mrs. Roper.  Seriously?).  This is, sadly, the norm in almost every store – online or brick and mortar it’s almost all the same.

AND THEN ALONG CAME MODCLOTH.

They might not be the first to break the frumpy curvy girl fashion mold but they’re definitely doing it better than the rest.  This week ModCloth is celebrating a very exciting milestone – one year ago they launched their plus-size line and invited curvy girls to fall in love with cute and quirky fashion.

FASHION FOR ALL!

In just one year, they’ve expanded their product catalog with more items that fit all body types. Check out the full-range fashion page in their Style Gallery, which showcases community-uploaded photos featuring ModCloth items that are available in a full size range. Why? Because whatever your size or shape everyone deserves to dress their bodies in a way that makes them feel happy and beautiful.

Thank you, Modcloth, for making cute and quirky fashion that not only fits our cute and quirky style but our cute and quirky bodies too, regardless of size.

Kisses & Chaos,
Alli Woods Frederick
