HOW, as a fan of his show Small Town Security, would I describe Captain Dennis Starr? While it’s challenging to try and summarize such a complex individual I will do my best to describe the man I see every Tuesday night on my TV screen:
Outspoken but reserved; open-minded; non-conformist; brave; compassionate; creative; determined; loyal. But above all things, he is completely and totally, unabashedly himself.
The Incomparable Captain Dennis Starr .
I’m inclined to say we need more Dennis Starrs in this world, but I’m not sure the world could handle it. This self-described “misfit” makes no apologies for who he is. He lives his life the way he wants, on his own terms – never asking the world for permission or approval…and that’s a wonderful thing.
