Tilt

I thought it would be fun to focus this week’s Things I Love Thursday on one of my favorite topics:  guilty pleasures.  We all have ’em.  Don’t try to deny it!  You have them too; those delicious little bits that you absolutely love but would be mortified to admit to your friends.  I’ll tell you what:  I’ll tell you mine and you tell me yours.  Fair’s fair!  I’m going to dish it and I fully expect you to do the same.  I mean it!  Don’t leave me hanging!

Things I Love Thursday:

The Guilty Pleasures Edition

*  Ok, this is totally unhealthy and I certainly know better than to do this, but every once in a while I will skimp on lunch, skip dinner and eat a bag of Twizzlers instead.  I said it.  Gross, I know, but there it is.  I am not proud of this, but it’s the truth…and I love it.  Who ever wrote their slogan “Twizzlers makes mouths happy” was a genius.  And who says there’s no room for truth in marketing.  *  Massages.  I always feel like there is a “better” way to spend that money, but if I don’t take care of myself, who will?  Massages make my brain and my body feel sooooo much better.  They’re just yummy,  *  Buying magazines.  It’s really quite ridiculous how addicted to them I am.  There seems to be little rhyme or reason behind which ones I purchase.  Garden & Gun is a new one I’ve found and find really interesting.  It’s all about Southern cities, their culture, art, nightlife…you get the idea.  The photography is stunning too (which I tend to be rather picky about, what with being a photographer and all).  I won’t even finish reading one before I’m buying another.  Tea Time?  Yes, please.  Shape?  Uh-huh.  Cottage Living or Metropolitan Home?  Oh wait…they went under (grumble grumble).  Artful Blogging?  Bring it.  Basically anything that has an article in it that I might find interesting or is aesthetically pleasing.  God only knows how much deforestation I am directly responsible for due to my addiction.  I think I need help.  *  I totally use little kids as an excuse to watch Wizards of Waverly Place.  The show is so harmless it’s easy to just zone out to it.  It’s a nice way to not have to think about anything adult.  There’s no sex, drugs or violence.  It doesn’t have “very special” episodes that deal with the hardships of life.  It’s just goofy and completely innocuous.  While I’m confessing to questionable TV show tastes, I also watch America’s Next Top Model, The Bad Girl’s Club (which I am sure does damage to my karma in some way or other), Ancient Aliens and reruns of Rosanne when I have a migraine.  *  Shoes, glorious shoes.  I would buy a pair a day if I could get away with it.  *  Monster Absolute Zero Energy Drink…because you haven’t heard me talk about it nearly enough.  It’s like a zero calorie sweet tart that makes you bounce off the walls and is full of good for you B vitamins.  They must make them add pixie juice to them to make them taste so good.  *  Any and all things paranormal.  What can I say?  I want to believe. (and I DO!)  *  Spending entire days curled up on the couch (or in bed) watching one of the following marathonsThe X-files, Monk, Bob Hope and Bing Crosby “Road” films (although any Bob will do, really), Zombie anything or The Vicar of Dibley.  Do I feel like I’ve wasted a day?  Yup.  Is that good for me sometimes?  You know it!  *

Ok, some non-guilty pleasure stuff because I have to have my usual fluffy feel good gratitude and giggles:

*  My honey, my family and my cat, Mischa.  I know you’re sick of hearing it, but I’ll never tire of saying it.  I love them all to bits.  They are the bee’s knees.  They are the cat’s pajamas.  I am a lucky bird to have them.  *  Telepathic parrots talking about sexy bodies.  *  Endless amounts of giggling at really stupid stuff.  *  $4 pizzas.  *  Date nights.  *  Good friends with good hearts.  *  Feline nephew = safe and sound.  Kisses, Sumo.  *   Jessica Mullen and Megan Monique for being inspiring supportive beams of light and awesomeness.  *  All of you!  You all mean the world to me.  You’re the reason Kisses & Chaos exists.  Thank you.

Feeling brave and want to share your dirty little secret pleasures?  Go crazy in the comments below.  Not quit ready to let loose?  Then feel free to share what makes you drip with love this week.

Kisses & Chaos,
