Hello, hello, hello my dears! And how are you this fine Thursday? Me? I went to bed with a killer migraine last night and awoke with the same. Good times! I’m sure you’ll understand why this week’s Thing I Love Thursday is a little short. So let’s get goin’ shall we?

Things I Love Thursday:

The Migraine Edition

* Mail Order Zombie. I love this podcast. It covers any and all things zombie. It’s where I go for all the latest in undead news. * When my migraines strike I like to take my medicine, lay down, close my eyes and listen to the TV with the volume turned down looooooooow. I therefore LOVE shows that don’t require my visual attention. Celebrity Ghost Stories is great for this. So is The Ricky Gervais Show. * Speaking of the Ricky Gervais Show…Karl ROCKS!!!! He is an absolute genius. He can not only identify a bee having a heart attack but he also knows how to handle a homicidal crocodile. He’s absolutely brilliant! * My bed. I swear I have a magical mattress. It is a total Goldilocks bed. It’s just right. It’s perfection…and I so want to crawl in it right now. * Fasting. I am trying a new fast out soon. I was going to order one from a company that shall remain nameless and was so put off by their customer service that I now have no desire to give them my business at all (note: they DID eventually answer my questions and resolve the issue, but too little too late). But that led me to another option which is almost the same thing but without the steep price tag. I’m pleased as punch! * The new organic grocery store that’s come to town! I can’t wait to go in and check it out. * My shoulder feeling better! It’s still not 100% but it’s improved soooo much. That cortisone shot last week really made a difference. * Stand up comedian Kumail Nanjiani. He is hilarious. I love finding comics that are genuinely funny. So many of them scream (which is the fastest way to turn me off) or feel the need to be hateful. This guy is just funny and absolutely adorable. (and I included a clip…of course!) * Shooting my first wedding! I finally did it. I’ve been scared to death to try wedding photography but I bit the bullet and I really enjoyed it! It’s so amazing to be a part of such a special day. * My amazing family. I love them so much. * My honey and my Mischa.

I really do have about a billion more things I’m crazy in love with and ever so thankful for, but with my head feeling like something is trying to claw its way out, I shall end my list there. Short and sweet.

What has been going on with the energy this week? Has anyone else noticed how crazy it’s been? Wide swings from the positive to the negative have been creating energetic chaos in my house. With the vast differences in feelings about the news this week, the new moon on Tuesday and Mercury retrograde, it’s amazing our energetic selves are still functioning! I blame my killer migraine yesterday on all the energetic insanity. There is an upside though: I find my mind is simply overflowing with creativity. With so much going on that energy has to have an outlet…and if mine decides it wants a creative outlet, then a creative outlet it shall have! Are you noticing any energetic shifts or changes in your life this week?

Ok. Time to give thanks for all the awesomeness in life…

Things I Love Thursday:
The Better Late than Never Edition

Shooting my first wedding! I’m so excited for the opportunity to document such a special day! * Starting my newsletter! I’m really hoping it will help us grow into an even more awesome and thriving community that promotes art, eccentricity, and positivity. If you haven’t signed up yet (and yes, there are perks to signing up) you can just click here to join the party. * Getting encouragement from people I love and trust. It’s the BEST. * Finding out I did NOT dislocate my shoulder! Woohoo! Turns out my hyper-mobility just messed my tendon up a bit. Nothing a cortisone shot, some acupuncture and a little at-home physical therapy can’t fix! * Mother’s Day! Where would I be without her? I try to celebrate my mother’s awesomeness whenever possible, but I still like the fact that there’s a special day set aside just for that very purpose. Hooray for Moms the world over! * Have I mentioned new opportunities? Cause they are raining from the sky as of late. I don’t like to count chickens so I’m not saying a word until everything’s finalized, but once it’s a done deal you’ll be the first to know…Ok…actually the second. The honey gets to know first. * How freaking cute Mischa the wonder cat is. You would think after 12 years I’d be over it, but I’m totally not. He melts my heart every day. He’s an excellent conversationalist too. Seriously. You should hear the talks we have. I suspect him to be a genius. * Watching House Hunters International. It’s so addictive! * Fasting to kick my addiction to sweets. Although I typically eat sugar-free sweets, my cravings are ridiculous. Time for me to get it back under control. I kicked sugar before and, although not fun, it did make the sweetness of natural foods return. Fruits and veggies taste so much better when your system isn’t bombarded by refined and artificial sweeteners. * Sleep. It’s a rare commodity these days. * Love. What a wonderfully wonderful emotion. Love is pure gratitude. *
