Ahhhh…The royal wedding. Who wouldn’t love to walk down the aisle in an Alexander McQueen gown with a tiara loaned to you buy The Queen of England? Yeah…I know. Me too. Can you even imagine?!?

All this wedding hubbub has made me start browsing through gowns and invites all over again. (Didn’t I just finish doing all this last year?) This time it’s without the stress and pressure of actually planning a wedding and having a budget, which makes it so much more fun!

I have put together a few of my favorite gowns (Jenny Packham!!! *drool* Love her!), super-fantastic handmade letterpress invites (long live good design!) and unique accessories (Topsy Turvy Design is amazing…though I AM biased…I wore The Sadie for our reception).  If you’re interested in some honeymoons that are truly unique, check out this article! And please feel free to share links to your favorite gowns, venues, accessories and the like in the comments section below. Or even better, show me! Use Polyvore.com to create a collage of your dream wedding. I would love to see it!

Sending you fairytale kisses and fluffy white dreams!

Alli Woods Frederick

Love is in the Air

Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies.

Wow.  I have soooooooo much to be thankful for this week.  The weather in my area has been out of control.  Rampant tornadoes, hail and flooding resulting in many, many deaths across the entire south.  Tuesday evening, as I sat bundled in blankets and covered with sofa cushions with Mischa the wonder cat at the bottom of the stairs (my husband was God-knows-where with his work), my Mom called to inform me that the news was showing my house and the Catholic school across the street…because visible cloud rotation was occurring.  It was right over my head…and it passed harmlessly by.  I did get some hail…4 softball size pieces and that was it.  I feel so very thankful that my family and I were untouched, aside from some very tiny inconveniences and a ton of stress on our adrenal glands, by the long string of horrible storms.  My thoughts are with all of those who were not so fortunate.  After such somberness I suppose there’s no graceful way to segue into this week’s TILT list, so I won’t even try.

Things I Love Thursday:
The Auntie Em Edition

I LOVE tornado sirens…even if they are scary as hell.  After the past two weeks they have become my new best friend.  *  My sturdy old Victorian house that has managed to keep standing through all sorts of brutal weather for over a hundred years.  She’s a hell of a lady.  *  Building protective energy bubbles (or some call them eggs) around people and places I love, myself included.  No idea what I’m talking about?  Check out the video at the end of the post.  *  Nice police officers who, rather than pulling you over when you are clearly speeding, merely flash their lights at you from their speed trap to tell you to slow down.  That seriously made my day!  *  All the reiki sessions this week.  It feels SO AMAZING to be able to help people again.  I have missed it so very, very much.  *  The super awesome testimonial that the lovely Megan Monique wrote about her reiki session with me.  She’s the best.  I heart her.  *  New books from Amazon.  One is filled with unusual printing techniques!  Squee!  They’ll be on my doorstep when I get home today.  Woohoo!  *  My (re)obsession with flower flavored goodies.  I foresee an order of rosewater, violet and lavender syrups coming soon.  With summer around the corner the urge to drink floral flavored spritzers is truly overwhelming.  *  “Ahhhh!  Zombies!”  “Are you OK?” “Yes.  I’ve had special military training.”  *  My awesome honey, who has been even sweeter than usual as of late.  *  My beloved Mischa the wonder cat who braved the storms with me with minimal fuss.  *  My family.  My mom made the BEST Easter dinner and my dad called to check in on me after the storms passed.  I love you guys to bits!  *  All of you!  You guys are seriously awesome and you never cease to make me smile!

So what’s blowing you away this week?  (Sorry for the really bad pun…but it had to be said.)

So you’ve heard of reiki, you’ve checked out my reiki faq but you still aren’t sure if reiki’s right for you. Are you still confused about what you should expect? Are you wondering what your results will be? Well Megan has been sweet enough to write this awesome testimonial. Thanks, Megan!

I have only had a few sessions of Reiki done in my life time. But the one I received from Alli was by far the most powerful. Although I spent my time of receiving mostly resisting – the treatment was unavoidable and rather delightful. After our session I felt energized and refreshed with a new sense of creativity & aliveness.

So what are you waiting for?  Schedule your reiki session today.
